PC Fan Hack
PC Fan hack, How to Run PC Fan on 220 V AC by Manmohan Pal in English subtitles
Friends in this video i will show you how to run a PC Fan (12V DC) on 200 V AC.
We need to Step down the AC voltage up to 22 V AC and then we will Rectify it to DC and then filter and store on a 470 mf 25 volt capacitor.
Circuit is simple, we are using a Voltage dropping capacitor of 225j is connected in series with Phase line of AC, this is a non-polarized capacitors so it can be connected from any side. A 1M ohm resistor is connected in parallel of Capacitor, to discharge the stored current in the capacitor when circuit is switched off, thus preventing from electric shock. This resistance is called Bleeder resistance.
after the Capacitor we will get low volt AC approx 22v ac that is further converted into DC using a bridge rectifier of diode IN 1007 x4
the rectified DC is further Filtered and stored using 470mf capacitor.
