Transformer less power supply
Transformer less power supply
In this video i am going to show you how to make a transformer less power supply of 5v/ 6v 9v/12v
Circuit is simple, we are using a Voltage dropping capacitor of 225j is connected in series with Phase line of AC, this is a non-polarized capacitors so it can be connected from any side. A 1M ohm resistor is connected in parallel of Capacitor, to discharge the stored current in the capacitor when circuit is switched off, thus preventing from electric shock. This resistance is called Bleeder resistance.
after the Capacitor we will get low volt AC approx 22v ac that is further converted into DC using a bridge rectifier of diode IN 1007 x4
the rectified DC is further Filtered and stored using 470mf capeciter and a final touch is given by using a zener diode,
the zener diode used in this tutorial is of 12v if we need to make 5v power supply then we have to use 5v Zenner diode.
(The Zenner diode is always connected in reverse biased)

When I visited your website for a specific topic called transformerless power supplies,
ReplyDeleteyou did a great job for make a detailed article about the topic, that post is so informative and useful.
I had a website called tesckt.com, I also written about transformerless power supplies,
if you are interested please visit our transformerless power supply article.
